Genesis 2:24

“Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.”

Marriage is a life marking event that turns a new chapter in one’s life!..When a couple gets engaged, one of the first things they need to think is: Where are we going to live? Needless to say that both of them will leave their parents house and form a new family, by living in a new house by themselves.

In the days of old (Things are a bit different now!..), no women or men would abandon their father’s house by any other reason than to get married.

Stabilising a parallel in our spiritual life, it’s not different if we want God to give us a new life!… In order for God to move within our lives, we also need to get married with Him!…Marriage is commitment, faithfulness, submission, love, surrender and above all SACRIFICE for one another!…

Look at what the Holy Scriptures says about the wife:

Genesis 3:16

Your desire shall be for your husband,
And he shall rule over you.”

If I want a new life, I must surrender my desires and cravings in order to please God. The Lord Jesus is the groom and the church the bride, therefore that’s the way we should conduct our lives.

If you haven’t got a new life (House), most probably you haven’t got married with the Lord Jesus yet, that’s why He hasn’t moved IN, trough the Holy Spirit.

God Snifs

 

All of us have a natural odour from the body, some stronger than others. Perspiration occurs when there’s exercise of the body, which is natural in our busy days.  That’s why we have to shower and use deodorant. Everybody want’s to be clean and have a good fragrance, that’s why we like to use perfume.

Now let me speak about a different kind of fragrance or smell. It’s the spiritual fragrance. One can be smelling really nice on the outside however it can be stinking on the inside. What’s inside, our character, behaviour, words, thoughts can smell really bad at God’s “nose”!..

Do you know that God Sniffs?

When the person holds a grudge, lies, gossips, leaves in promiscuity, is proud, selfish, greedy, swears words, impatient, etc… then the aroma coming out of us isn’t good!.. The fragrance stinks and end up setting us apart from God. That’s what happens when you are around with someone that is stinking!…You just can stick around that much time!..You will avoid or even reject to be around that person.

So the question is: What is the aroma we have?  

2 Corinthians 2:15-16

15 For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing. 16 To the one we are the aroma of death leading to death, and to the other the aroma of life leading to life.

 

The fragrance of Christ is the Holy Spirit in us!…This fragrance is what makes us to be attractive!…Look how attractive that aroma is!…

Here are the components of this “Spiritual fragrance”:

  • Patience
  • Self-Control
  • Gentleness
  • Peace
  • Faithfulness
  • Happiness
  • Joy
  • Kindness

Isn’t that fragrance GREAT?….

Stone

Many times when people go trough hardship, difficulties and setbacks their lives are shatterd by those circumstances. It’s very hard sometimes for that person to get up on their feet, and get on with life!..Many are very emotional, fragile and easily given to feelings and negative circumstances. 

Give a glance to the following biblical Scripture:

John 1:40-42

40 One of the two who heard John speak, and followed Him, was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother. 41 He first found his own brother Simon, and said to him, “We have found the Messiah” (which is translated, the Christ).42 And he brought him to Jesus.

Now when Jesus looked at him, He said, “You are Simon the son of Jonah. You shall be called Cephas” (which is translated, A Stone).

Why on earth, Jesus changed Simon’s name to Cephas (Stone)?

Weird? Not at all…Let’s see:

  1. Stone in the bible is a symbol of Jesus (The cornerstone-Ephesians 2:19-22)
  2. Stone is physically strong by nature and therefore hardly broken

That changing of name symbolises a new ID!..That’s it!..A new you, with a strong nature. Bold, courageous , fearless, determined and above all with the character of God.

We see many who say that are believers, yet very fragile and week, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and it’s cravings. The only way out it’s to receive the Baptism in the Holy Spirit, which is God’s empowerment to makes us strong, just like a STONE.

So your name should be ……Stone!

Want to be like Cephas? Well, seek the Baptism with the Holy Spirit and you will be like him…Oh by the way, see what happens when you “Become” a Stone!..

Matthew 16:18

Google

In the 21st century we are the Google era!…Anything you want to know, just google it!…From blogs to forums, websites, you name it!..

Now if its true that google is of great help, no doubt about it, there are still things that google will not be able to do for us…There are certain problems and issues that only will be answered form within your inner being. Many are those who find themselves stranded or stuck in situations and don’t know what to do or were to go!…

Do nor despair!..Let me introduce you the “Inner Google”it’s without doubt the Spirit of God, the HOLY SPIRIT.

He will guide, inspire, give you awareness, discernment, balance, etc…With the “Inner Google”, one will never fell lost or adrift, the answers will come, the right direction so one can walk in the right path and take the right decisions.

John 16:13

13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.

No Stamp

Can a letter reach the destination without a stamp? Obviously not.

In the same way, many who say that are of God will not reach the final destination- Eternity with God, our Salvation. Why?

There’s no “Spiritual Stamp”!…The Holy Spirit.

Ephesians 1:13-14

13 In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.

Will we reach our final destination to be with God, the Kingdom of Heaven? 

Only if you have the “Spiritual Stamp”!…

Do you want it? It doesn’t cost some pennies, its our ALL on the Altar, 100%, Body , Soul and Spirit.

Usually people are convinced that they are God’s children, that they belong to God. One couldn’t be so wrong and mistaken!…

We can called them a “Fraud”, “Fake” or “Contrafaction” Christhians!…

Spray Perfume

Why do we men and women, wear perfume and put on cologne?  It’s so that we can smell attractive. 

But why is it a daily routine, and why do some of us women even keep perfume in our bag to spray on throughout the day? Because the scent doesn’t last. In order to exude a sweet odour for the hours that we’re not at home, we need to be spray ourselves frequently. You can’t say that just because you’re wearing perfume today, you won’t need it tomorrow.

This is the same with the Holy Spirit. When we receive Him, we have that beautiful fragrant oil of His anointing, which everybody can smell. The difference in us is now evident to all, and we give off a fragrance that makes people want to be near us. Our life is a testimony because of this sweet smelling oil (the Holy Spirit).

But just as the scent can fade, the Holy Spirit will dry out if we don’t feed Him. We need to continuously be seeking to renew ourselves. If we’ve stopped smelling, how can this perfume rub off on others if there’s nothing left?

We need to replenish our supply of His Spirit daily, whether it’s to carry on spraying or to buy a new bottle if needs be. We need to be seeking and renewing ourselves. It’s entirely up to you whether you choose to let the fragrance dry out, or if you keep spraying it on so you continue to smell, and for that fragrance to rub off on others. For you can’t give what you don’t have.

Sinful women

A woman filled with sin knew that Jesus would be at the Pharisees house, so she went there with fragrance oil.

She wept behind Jesus and used her tears to wash his feet with her hair. She kissed Jesus feet and anointed it with fragrance oil. This woman being filled with sin to me means she was living in sin like a prostitute. We do not know what led her to that life, or how much pain and trauma she experienced over the years. The first thing she did was enter the house of the pharisee.

This is a big statement- this is saying” I do not care what others may think of me as in entering the pharisees house”. As a sinful woman she put her fear of others aside as in  those times the pharisees were seen as the most righteous and holy of people.

Immediately behind Jesus she wept, she did not cry. But she wept. Weeping comes from deep within. To me it is like she was releasing every pain, experience, attitude, thought, and feeling she developed over the years in living the life that she did. she then used her tears to clean the feet of Jesus.

She surrendered her BEFORE self to Him! she gave him everything from within.

The fact that she used her hair to clean His feet is significant to me, as a woman’s hair even more so in those times was and is today the beauty of a woman- her significance. Maybe she even used her hair to attract men- this to me is a humbling action of giving to Jesus. The bible then says that she kissed His feet. His feet! this symbolising her pure love.

And then she anointed his feet with her fragrance oil. Her prized possession. Her scent. Her worth,

I cried when I read this because it reminded me of me when I came to the church and my conversion. I had to pour myself out to inherit total freedom of the mind from everything I was subjected to before finding Jesus.

We have to be poured out daily!  This woman did not see anyone- all she saw was the need for her to be released. She new that she could ask for forgiveness and be forgiven, But that is not what she was after alone! She wanted Jesus! she laid everything upon him- she poured herself out!!

Is it not amazing that even what is ugly, when given to God can be transformed into something very beautiful as she used her tears of pain to clean the feet of Jesus! We have to be humble in these 21 days, strip off ourselves, and pour ourselves out.

We can see trough the video that the Lion was defeated by the Zebra kick!…Nowadays it’s not different!…The “Lion” it’s there hunting, to devour, kill, steal and destroy!…

We only have one option!… “Kick” otherwise we will be devoured by them.

Now, only those who have the Holy Spirit are able to “kick”- the doubts, fears, insecurity, complexes, negativity, past traumas, anxiety, lust, sexual immorality, lies, gossip, hatred, grudges, etc…

I can Call it  “God’s Kick”- Without the Holy Spirit we are week and unable to “Kick”.

Yes it is positive!!!

I started to love my son since the moment that I discovered I was pregnant. Without seeing him my love for him grew up each day. My life totally changed since the day I had the positive result in my hands. I change my life, my routine, my habits.

I humbled many times asking those who were more experienced  than me…. In other words I put all my efforts in order to allow this life that was inside of me to develop in a perfect way and come to this world perfect.

The care with myself, the time to know more things about maternity, the change of habits and so many other things and sacrifices, marked those 9 months.

 Yes is positive! God wants to born in you. The question is do you want to develop this pregnancy? 

If the answer is yes, here go 10 tips:

  • This pregnancy only will happen if you have daily intimacy with God
  •  A total surrender of your life it is required
  •  A changing of life, leaving behind the habits, costumes, maybe a routine, something that before was so normal, now can’t be anymore
  • Humbleness to recognise that you don’t know anything
  • Take care of yourself, do not be contaminated with things of your flesh, from the world. Remember devil’s plan it is to kill and destroy this little seed inside of you.
  • Show interest. Know better about the One that will born inside of you
  • See if you are giving Him the conditions for Him to develop inside of you
  • Are you feeding Him??? Are you giving Him the quality of your time, your thoughts, your attitudes???
  • Are you sacrificing towards Him? That means a lot, because many things need to stay behind
  •  Put all your efforts and all your strength for this BIRTH to happen on time!..

 It is time to push!

There is a fierce battle between our desires and God’s desire. Our flesh, cravings, lusts and the will of God. In us,there is the will to do what is right and just however we face that battle within us and sometimes we fulfill our desires, falling in to sin.

The power of sin works within and tirelessly to sabotage our intentions, and divert us from the purity, sincerity, faithfulness and obedience to God. Sin works to lure, subvert, currupt, ambush and entice us with the things of this world.

Sin is the greateast sabotager of all times. Sin works to sabotage relationships trough unfaithfulness, deceit, adultery, fornication,etc…Sin works to sabotage all the areas of our lives, specially our soul!…Sin wants our soul, he wants us to live in disobedience to God, so that our lives can be wrecked by him.

Hence the following:

Romans 7:17-24

( The Message)

“But I need something more! For if I know the law but still can’t keep it, and if the power of sin within me keeps sabotaging my best intentions, I obviously need help! I realize that I don’t have what it takes. I can will it, but I can’t do it. I decide to do good, but I don’t really do it; I decide not to do bad, but then I do it anyway. My decisions, such as they are, don’t result in actions. Something has gone wrong deep within me and gets the better of me every time.

It happens so regularly that it’s predictable. The moment I decide to do good, sin is there to trip me up. I truly delight in God’s commands, but it’s pretty obvious that not all of me joins in that delight. Parts of me covertly rebel, and just when I least expect it, they take charge.

I’ve tried everything and nothing helps. I’m at the end of my rope. Is there no one who can do anything for me? Isn’t that the real question?

Well in fact there is help!.. Its’s the Holy Spirit…

Only trough the Holy Spirit we are able to overcome our flesh. The Helper will strenghen, guide and empower us to overcome our flesh.

Without the Holy Spirit you are being sabotaged every single day!..

The great majority of people have their own insight of how things are. They look at life with common eyes, the natural ones, given to feelings and emotions.However there are those who see things in a different way, they see it trough God’s eyes, His iris, His insight!…

I was reading the following Scripture when something strikes me and caught me attention.

Acts 7:55-56

(NKJV)

55 But he, being full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God,56 and said, “Look! I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!”

It speaks bout Stephen a men full of the Holy Spirit. 

He gazed into heaven!…That’s where our eyes have to be, ( Not physical, rather spiritually). We must aim for what is spiritual.  When one is full of the Holy Spirit, than he can see things trough God’s eyes!…His vision, guidance, awareness, discernment, etc… His Iris!…

Stevens’s eyes and spiritual perception were literally in another world!…“Look! I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!”. He gave himself over to locking his eyesight on the Lord Jesus and cause everything else to become dim or disappear in his perception or reality. He was on other “realm”, so much so that the physical was being overlooked ( Being stoned to death).

Others criticized him ( Stephen) and could not bear what he was saying!…It was madness for them or a blasphemy!…That’s what average people do when see those who are “Different”, they stoned them with words, rejection and criticism.

Many Christians today have been making hard for the  Holy Spirit to come inside them.

When something wrong happens, they hasten and say it’s the devil!..It’s seams as  if, it’s easy for the devil to gain access in to their lives and therefore they believe that the problem has a demonic root. It may be even the truth, however is the devil more eager to enter in a person’s live that God, trough the Holy Spirit?

Give a glance to the following Bible verse.(I placed to versions of the Bible so that you can understand clearly.)

James 4:5

Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain, “The Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously”?

Do you think the Scriptures mean nothing? The Scriptures say, “The Spirit God made to live in us wants us only for himself.” 

The answer is straighter forward! NO!…God is certainly more eager to dwell in us.

Here are 6 hints to receive the baptism with the Holy Spirit.

  • Holiness - As it says, Holy… So one must strive to walk in holiness, sanctity. Apart of sin, meaning,living righteously before God and men.
  • Sincerity – Do not hide anything from God, about who you are inside, what you do, your cravings and desires. He knows it already.
  • Humbleness – Go to him with humble prayers, recognizing your mistakes, and wrongs. Recognize that you need Him, more than anything else.
  • Thirst – Show this thirst, by pouring out your heart, with your words of praise, worship and total dependance on Him.
  • Intention – Why do you want the Holy Spirit? What’s behind that desire.  position, title, Pr’s recognition?
  • Belief – Many try to feel something when seeking. Just believe, disregard feelings.

“You’ll be a stunning crown in the palm of God’s hand, 
   a jeweled gold cup held high in the hand of your God.
No more will anyone call you Rejected, 
   and your country will no more be called Ruined.
You’ll be called Hephzibah (My Delight), 
   and your land Beulah (Married),
Because God delights in you 
   and your land will be like a wedding celebration.
For as a young man marries his virgin bride, 
   so your builder marries you,
And as a bridegroom is happy in his bride, 
   so your God is happy with you.”

  • A crown is a symbol of power and authority. A crown is often coveted by someone who is in competition striving for winning the price. It is beautiful, shining  and full of great value. That is what this verse is saying about YOU. You… (Insert your name) will be a stunning crown in the palm of God’s hand.  That means he would hold his palm out and SEE you… How awesome… of a thought.  You will be like a jeweled gold  cup held high in a place of honor and delighted by God.
  • There will be no memories of the old life, of the rejections, deceptions, past hurts, etc…Your life will be rebuilt, even if it’s in ruins.
  • The name Hephzibah or Hafzbah expresses a very clear idea. Since the same root hafz means “guarding” or “taking care of,” all words from this root suggest the idea of “safeguarding,” and therefore the name Hephzibah means not only someone who evokes delight, but also “one who is guarded,” a “protected one.”
  • Beulah means “married.” When God changes a name in the Bible, it conveys transformation, a second chance, and a new beginning.
  • You will be always enjoying,no matter of the circumstances. Marriage is a life transformation event, one of the greatest memories people have. The bride has now a provider, protector and carer.

There are two kinds of people on this earth. The ones that are a “Fountain” and the ones that are a “Cup of water”.

What’s the difference between the two of them? Well, the waters of the fountains never stop, a fountain or a spring is an endless source of supply. God, trough the Holy Spirit inside of us, gives us the source of power, strength, guidance, joy, happiness,peace, love, self-control, etc…Whenever we go, we have this source and therefore no circumstances are able to leave us in a “drought”!….

The water in a cup is limited, and can only hold what’s put into it. These kind of people are those that aren’t baptized with the Holy Spirit and therefore they have “limited” joy and peace. It last’s only for moments. There is lack of self-control, gentleness, etc..Upon un-expected circumstances the person get’s desperate and the voice of their emotions speak louder. The person is full of doubts, insecurity, anger, bitterness, fear and complexes. The past controls the present and holds a brighter future.

Many were seeking to have this fountain, were “drinking from God” and because some blessings where delayed or didn’t happen in their own time, they tried to give themselves a hand, by doing things their own way. Later on they discovered that they took a wrong decision, and that their own cistern could hold no water.

Please meditate on the following word:

Jeremiah 2:13

“For My people have committed two evils:
They have forsaken Me, the fountain of living waters,
And hewn themselves cisterns—broken cisterns that can hold no water.

Left without a source of supply, they had attempted to supply their own needs.  They “hewed out cisterns.”  A cistern is container to hold water.  This may be a hole dug in the ground and lined to hold water.  God’s people had attempted to supply their own needs by making a cistern; it was broken and could hold NO water.  Whenever we try to rely upon our own supply rather than looking to God to meet our needs, we will come up short.

Who needs a cup, if we can have a fountain?

Hey!… You might be using it, and you don’t even realize it!…I’m speaking about a fragrance that put’s people off and above all God!…

Let me present you the U.S.P.Unbearable Stinking Perfume” - SIN

Whenever we sin, is as if we sprayed the Unbearable Stinking Perfume” on us!…The bitterness, swearing words, lies, nervousness, shouting, yelling, un-forgiveness, malice, theft, grudges, un-patience, pride, gossip,picky, etc…

But who can’t take this person? That’s why we have so many broken marriages, families and relationships.

So what can one do? It’s as simple as having the good fragrance, a divine seed inside, that will make you to be a joyful person, happy in-spite of the circumstances, patient, self-controlled, peaceful, forgiving, humble, etc…

One must be born of God and have the divine seed – The Holy Spirit.

I John 3:9

 “Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.”

What defines a mere man from the spiritual one?

I was meditating upon the following bible verse and would like you to think about it.

1 Corinthians 3:3

“for you are still carnal. For where there are envy, strife, and divisions among you, are you not carnal and behaving like mere men?”

The diference lies on the behaviour!.. Let’s see!..

Mere men:

  • Lie
  • Malice
  • Hatred
  • Deceit
  • Gossip
  • Judgemental
  • Greedy
  • Impatient
  • Selfish
  • Proud
  • Irresponsible
  • Grudgy
Spiritual men:
  • Truthful
  • Pure
  • Gentle
  • Uprightness
  • Genuine
  • Fair
  • Generous
  • Controlled
  • Caring
  • Humble
  • Trustworthy
  • Forgiving

The question is: How to be the Spiritual man? The answer is straight forward, one must have the Spirit of God!…The Holy Spirit.

God’s Mark

Livestock branding is a technique for marking livestock so as to identify the owner. “branding iron” consisted of an iron rod with a simple symbol or mark, which cowboys heated in a fire. After the branding iron turned red hot, the cowboy pressed the branding iron against the hide of the cow.

There was a unique mark, that would then identify it’s owner.

Nowadays there is a mark seared with spiritual fire, that identifies those who belong to God!..

It’s God’s Mark, the HOLY SPIRIT!…

The Holy Spirit has God’s DNA, God’s characteristics, His way of thinking, acting and seeing things as God sees.

There’s a deceit spirit that makes people to think that all are God’s children!…IT’S NOT TRUE!…Because one goes to church, says I believe, reads the bible or gives his tithe and offerings, that doesn’t make a person to be of God!..

We become God’s particular property only when the Holy Spirit is in us!..

Please meditate on the following verse, but I have to warn you!…IT’S A BIT HARSH AND STRONG!…A EYE OPENER IN MY OPINION!…

Romans 8:9

 “But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His.

Some people ask what it is that steers a ship. Automobiles have a steering wheel connected to the two front wheels: ships have a slightly different system. Instead of wheels to turn, there is a rudder. The rudder directs water in a different direction as it passes over the surface.The ship  can move the rudder left and right depending on the direction that is need. Without a rudder the ship will be adrift.

The proportion in terms of size is very small, compared with the size of the boat, however plays a capital importance in a boat.

In life,we need something to guide our lives, to steer us in the good direction, to avoid the “Icebergs” and to be lost in the sea. Many are those who have a “nice boat”, with a good propeller, and engine, meaning good skills, education, stablished marriage, nice job, etc..however they lack the guidance that will lead this boat to the good port.

Let me present you the “Spiritual rudder”- The Holy Spirit!..

It makes the following tasks:

  • Gives guidance in where to go
  • Enable us to take decisions with our mind, not emotions
  • Warn us from potential dangerous, like a yellow traffic light
  • It show us what not to do
  • Strengths and boosts
  • Makes one to overcome doubt and fear, gives assurance

It helps to sort out daily task and issues in life.

Is this the right person to be with? Is this the right career for me? How am I going to sort this out?

The question is:

ARE YOU ADRIFT?
