God’s Gear

God's Gear

When people go trough problems, difficulties and setbacks they become discouraged, fearful, weary and majority of times they loose sight of their goals. Sometimes people go back, give up and engage on the “Reverse Gear”.

With God there’s no “Reverse Gear”!…Genuine faith doesn’t look to the circumstances. No matter what one keeps on going. If one falls, one get’s up!..

Hence a quote from an Unknown author:

A hero is not one that never falls. He is the one that gets up, again and again, never losing sight of his dreams.

No matter what you go trough, do not engage the “Reverse Gear”, use your faith, live by faith and act by faith!…

Joshua 1:9

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

A “forcado”  is a member of the team that performs the “face catch” of the bull, the final event in a typical Portuguese bullfight. Forcados were usually people from lower classes who, to this day, practice their art through amateur associations.
The “face catch” involves eight “forcados” who challenge the bull with their bare hands. They form a line facing the bull and the caras (front man) eggs the bull on, by “playing” with it and taking steps forward if necessary to get it to charge. Once the bull runs forward the first “forcado” times his jump onto the bull’s head. Once on the bull’s head and holding onto it, usually around its neck, six forcados jump upon the bull in the same fashion as the first “forcado”, piling upon themselves and grabbing the bull while one” forcado” grabs the bull by its tail. The objective is to subdue the bull. The “forcado” who grabbed the bull by the tail (rabejador) is the last one to release the bull after it is subdued. Bull’s horns are covered with a protection of leather to prevent it from injuring “forcados”.
Now that’s exactly what we must do to subdue the spiritual beast-The devil and his hosts. The british expression “Take the bull by the horns”, means to dare, to be courageous, take action, role up the sleeves, be bold, strong, to challenge, to defy and move forward.

Usually people say:

  • I have done it already
  • I received a no
  • I didn’t succeed
  • I’ve knocked all doors

Well, if this is your case, I’m pretty sure that there’s something that you din’t try it yet….it may be what you were just looking for!…

DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN!….

Everyone wants the “Job” done!…Isn’t it? The perfect career, marriage, good family environment, healthy relationships, healing, deliverance from a bad habit or addiction, overall success in all areas of life. Sometimes we can do the job ourselves because we have both the knowledge and the resources to do it. But what to do when we aren’t able to have the “Job” done? When we have used all the resources at our disposal, and still we couldn’t succeed?

Give a glance on the following word of the Holy Scriptures:

Exodus 34:10

And He said: “Behold, I make a covenant. Before all your people I will do marvels such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation; and all the people among whom you are shall see the work of the LORD. For it is an awesome thing that I will do with you.”

God indeed can work, and work wonderfully!… However He doesn’t work for us, rather WITH US!...He has the tools, the capacity, the skill, that’s why He is: Omnipresent (Can be in all places at the same time); Omnipotent (Almighty, having the infinite power and authority); Omniscient (Having infinite insight and knowledge).

Now and again we ask: God, why this couldn’t be done? Why din’t you answered me? And He replies: ” Indeed I can do whatever and whenever, however I NEED YOU TO GIVE ME THE WOOD, so that I can go there and do my part!..)

Got it? God needs our wood in order to make the work. What kind of wood are we speaking?

  • An action or attitude towards what we want
  • Perseverance
  • Self-Belief
  • Great vision
  • Focus
  • Overcome circumstantial barriers or setbacks
  • Get rid of negativity

Have you given your wood so that He can work?

Life its just like playing rugby!.. We just need to score and get to our objectives!..

Everyone knows that rugby its a very phisycal and tough game!… obviously because of the inherently rough physical contact involved.

The objective of the defensive side is to prevent the attacking side from scoring and obtaining their shorter term objectives. The defensive team carries out these objectives by:

  • Maintaining the defensive line
  • Providing last ditch defenders
  • Preventing a try
Now let’s bring this to our daily Life!...
Everyone encounters resistance to get what he/she wants!…In every aspect of life, it’s just not easy to take hold or possession of what you want. There’s always a blockage, a “Defense line”!… Let’s no be naive at the point to think that it will be easy to overcome this “Defense Line”, even because our opponent is strong, determined and well organized!…
Hence how this “Defense Line” works:
  • Makes you Doubt it’s possible, so that you are already defeated, before even start.
  • Instills Fear, so that you don’t take action.
  • Makes you feel Tired and give up.
  • Brings Discouragement by words of negativity.

Tackling

The defensive team tries to stop the attacking team from scoring by tackling the player with the ball as quickly as possible to prevent him gaining more ground.

Perhaps that’s exactly what has been happening!…You are being tackled to score your Goals!…

I can speak about Financial goals, Love life, Family and Relationships, Health and more important Spiritually!…

Many want to be set free from an addiction, depression; To be baptized in the Holy Spirit, to please God!…However there is something blocking that to happen!…

That is why we need to persevere and keep  pushing forward, in other works keep trying.
