It’s spring and the birds have been building their nests. Soon, if not already the eggs will be laid, and not long after that they will hatch. The little birds will be watched over carefully by their mothers, who will keep them warm and fed. But that will not last for long. The mother is not in the business of creating dependent children. She will push them out of the nest, and make them try out their wings. They will not leave immediately, but they will have to fly off and make it on their own.

Now, what makes me think is that many people prefer to be in the “Nest”, being fed and cared and not fly by themselves!…It’s called the “Comfort Zone”!…

Let’s see some main factors for those who are doing nothing to enhance and develop their lives and staying in the “Nest”:

  • The nest symbolizes that benefit that the person claims, (I’m not against it!..For those that really need , and can’t provide for themselves).
  • The fear of loosing and investing
  • Depending on others
  • Lack of vision, and projects
  • Low self-esteem
  • Fear
  • Laziness and complacency
  • Complexes
  • Doubts
  • Past failures

God has given us, talents and skills, wings to fly and provide for a better life. Now, are you in the nest? Watch out, one day your “Mum” will kick you out and then?

Most of us have been conditioned to blame something outside of ourselves for the parts of our life we don’t like. We blame our parents, our bosses, our friends, the media, our coworkers, our clients, our spouse, the weather, the economy, our lack of money — anyone or anything we can pin the blame on. We never want to look at where the real problem is — ourselves.

But the real truth is that in majority of the cases ( There are some exceptions) there is only one person responsible for the quality of the life you live.

That person is you.

Majority of the times, is the lack of vision, comfort zone, laziness, complacency, fear, doubts and complexes that are the real hindrance to our success.

It’s like a back seater giving instructions to the driver. Whilst you aren’t grabbing the wheel, you have to go where the driver wants. On the back seat you don’t have full control. Many depend on others for everything, the employer, the government, institutions, etc…The issue is that many times the company you work for goes has to make cuts and you are made redundant!…The economy comes to a “Credit Crunch”, the benefit is removed, etc.. Your “Car” stopped  and you stopped with it!…

Mourning, complaining and crying over it, will not change the situation!… You gotta be the driver!….

When you make decisions, things change. Either you’re instigating the change or you’re waiting for things around you to change. Don’t wait. It’s much better to be in the driver’s seat, as long as you trust your abilities.

You have in your hands the power to produce!… God has made us to his image and likeness. God was a “Producer”. He created things out of nothing!…The same ability was given to men!…

Grab the wheel and be the driver.

Deuteronomy 15:10

(…) because for this thing the Lord your God will bless you in all your works and in all to which you put your hand.”

Self-belief is vital. It’s the next step to be successful. How many things have you not done or tried because you lacked belief in yourself?

Many fail to believe in themselves because others didn’t . Let me give you some tips to help you out with this issue.

  • Remember self-belief is learnable

One of the first steps is to re-examine and discard many of the limiting ideas you have about yourself; ideas that you’ve somehow collected along the way.

  • Deal with the inner negative voice

When you start to doubt yourself listen, for a moment, to that little negative inner voice. Whose voice is it really?

  • Flip a weakness into a strength

Dumbo, our cartoon quadruped, was humiliated by his outsize ears. He hated them at first.  But, through time, he came to use them, to fulfil his destiny even, by changing his attitude.

If we just focus on what is not right about ourselves rather than what is, then we miss opportunities for self-belief. We shouldn’t assume there’s nothing to improve about ourselves, but just focusing on your good points. Don’t focus in what you don’t have, rather in what you have.

  • Be your own motivational coach
Keep on saying I can, I will try it, Why not, etc…Why the President of United States  Barack Obama was Elected? Because he believed!…And Others believed that he believed!…No wonder why his campaign motto was: Yes We Can!..
  • Create a powerful vision of yourself

Self-belief comes not just by trying to convince yourself you can do stuff. True self-belief actually comes from developing the vision that you can start that business, write that book, or whatever it is you need to believe you can do or be.Get into the habit of sitting down, closing your eyes, and watching yourself behaving decisively, calmly, and strongly. This powerful visualization exercise means you can learn from yourself how to be confident, have self-belief, and behave in ways which maximize chances of success.

Meditate on the picture of this post: The way you see yourself, is actually what you are.

The 7th Step to Prosperity is to have…

  • Inner Drive

Finding motivation for your job, career, business or whatever one does to succeed, may be the hardest thing to do. Most of us start out highly motivated for our job, idea, business but then that enthusiasm and motivation fades away. The basic job duties you used to enjoy become mundane and boring. How can you find your personal drive to succeed? Here are some tips that may help:

  1. Be passionate about what you do.                                                                                                                  No matter the area you really want to be successful, you must love what you do. That will give you an extra motivation to go all the way.
  2. Have a positive attitude.                                                                                                                                          Come to work with a positive attitude. One of the biggest reasons why people start to lose motivation or their job is because they have a bad attitude. If you always look at the bad things about your job, project or  business, it will be easy to dread going to work. Stop the sour attitude by exercising before work. If you can exercise before you get to the office, it will put you in a good mood because your body naturally releases endorphins when you exercise. Endorphins help to improve your mood and this can easily help you have a positive attitude when it comes to work.
  3. Find that Motivation on Faith.                                                                                                                               When everything goes wrong and it seams that there’s no way, that glimpse of hope comes, trough faith!…You believe that your help you come even against all the Odds.
  4. Growth and expansion.                                                                                                                                         Do not accept a flat life, aim to grow and expand. Successful entrepreneurs are constantly finding ways to expand. This keeps them going.

The next tip is about…

  • Perseverance

Perseverance is a day-by-day decision not to give up. In the end of the day that will define weather you succeed or you fail.

Some situations, feelings, and challenges can, over time, cause us to lose heart or lose our way. When we feel lost, overwhelmed, betrayed or exhausted, we need to know we have a choice for how we respond. Is to persevere a good remedy for some cases.

What is perseverance?

  • Perseverance is commitment, hard work, patience, endurance.
  • Perseverance is being able to bear difficulties calmly and without complaint.
  • Perseverance is trying again and again.

Proverbs and maxims:

  • Failure is the path of least persistence.
  • All things will come round to him who will but wait. (Longfellow)
  • Only those who have the patience to do simple things perfectly will acquire the skill to do difficult things easily.
  • Work hard and give it your best shot; never be a quitter. (Charley Taylor)

Put perseverance into action

  • When something starts to bother you, wait as long as you can before you express frustration.
  • When something doesn’t work right, try again and again.
  • Don’t lose your temper when something upsets you.
  • Always finish what you start.
  • Keep working at something that is difficult until you complete it.
  • Don’t give up on difficult jobs or situations.
  • Focus on someone or something that ordinarily makes you lose your patience and try to understand it (and don’t “lose it”).
  • Work a little harder or a few minutes longer on a task that you do not like.

In our path to prosperity we must keep ourselves focused. As time goes on,  there exists the possibility of losing steam and getting off-track.  We have to develop the momentum and stamina required to achieve success, there must be…

Concentration is intense mental focus. It requires giving total attention to the matter at hand, whether a subject or activity. It is turning one’s awareness so completely to the subject or activity present that all else melts away. Concentration is a power, fundamental to great achievement in all fields of endeavor.

“I am easily distracted.”

Solution: Too many of us work in chaotic, over stimulating environments. As your situation permits, create a healthy, supportive work space. Limit noise and potential interruptions. During times you are working, turn off cell phone, computer, TV and internet. Put a “do not disturb” sign on the door. Gather materials before you start working (pencils, pens, paper, books, or other items).

Determine your own highest productivity hours. Some of us are morning people fresh and ready; others are best during late night hours. When possible, schedule according to your personal preferences so you can most easily focus.

“My overactive mind gets in my way.”

Solution: If you have inner distractions like guilt from the past or worry about the future, consciously focus your mind. Assign your mind a single task with time parameters.

If your mental chatter continues, record your worries or to-do’s on paper. Now they are safe for later. Let them go. Re-focus on your assignment. If you are reading, researching or engaged in a business interaction, taking notes can help you stay on task. “When you write down your ideas you automatically focus your full attention on them. Few if any of us can write one thought and think another at the same time. Thus a pencil and paper make excellent concentration tools.

“I’m bored. I just don’t like some of the things I have to do.”

Solution: Front load your work session with less preferred tasks. Choose an empowered attitude. If you are going to do something, do it wholeheartedly. Engage your senses. Be curious. Learn. Joy can be found in the doing of the activity, not just the topic or the result.

“I fizzle out before I finish.”

Solution: Try pushing yourself a bit further than you think you can go. Develop your concentration skills by exercising your mental focus capacity. There are two kinds of people, those who understand how to work through frustration and those who give up.When you find yourself in the middle of a task and want to walk away, decide on “five more.”

Go the distance by reading the next five pages, writing the next five emails or making those next five phone calls. Athletes get a second wind by pushing through initial fatigue; you can reach renewed mental focus by refusing to give up in moments of frustration.

“I work for so long that my mind is exhausted.”

Solution: Find a healthy balance. It’s not how long you work but how productive you are that determines success. Often, more can be accomplished in a few hours of concentration than in days of effort diluted by distraction. Working too long can be counter-productive and increase your rate of errors. Your mind and body work in rhythmic cycles. Take regular breaks during long work periods. Breathe deeply. Get up and stretch. Enjoy a glass of water. Listen to an inspired song. Get some fresh air. Then return to your work.

“I don’t care how much power, brilliance or energy you have, if you don’t harness it and focus it on a specific target, and hold it there you’re never going to accomplish as much as your ability warrants.”

The next step towards prosperity Is to “Map your Success” trough  plan of action. It will work as a GPS and will give you step-by-step directions and keep you on track.

All of us want to get from A to Z. However in order to get there you have to go step by step. Is the famous “Leader System”.  I will help you how to give those little steps one at a time!..

  • Plan of action
  • Map out a plan to accomplish your goals, with clear, concrete directions, Eg. 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc..
  • Establish short and long term Goals.
  • Break down each steps, by making an evaluation on what to do, in order to accomplish it.
  • Write down that map. It will help you to keep on track, and to develop it.
  • Brainstorm ideas on how to get there.
  • Navigate through road blocks and forks in the road.
  • Ask the question How? Try to answer it. If you can’t, seek for a solution.
  • Take daily steps and place all your strength to fulfill the 1st step, then move to the following one.
Last but not least, ask God for guidance and to lead your way.
Isaiah 28:29
“This also comes from the LORD of hosts, Who is wonderful in counsel and excellent in guidance.”

When you look up to the picture , what do you get from it? ( Think for  bit…).Exactly, money makes more money!.. That’s the basics of prosperity, we call it Multiplication.

You may ask? How can I multiply? The answer is simple!…You got to invest it.

People struggle with money because they don’t understand about it or they are afraid of doing it. I’m speaking about Investing.

That’s the 3 point:

  • Investment

Usually people they do 2 things with money: Either they spend it or they save it. That’s what majority of people do with money. Few are those that invest, that’s why rich people become more rich…they invest, and keep on investing. One may say: “I can’t invest because I have few!”…That’s exactly why you should start to invest…to get more out of it. Do you have 1? With it you can make 2…with 2 you can make 4…and you keep on going…
Investing is about developing your skills, abilities and talents. All of us without exception were born with something that we are good at. The best way of investing is to make business. Having an average job, wont make you come out of the flat line of life, isn’t it? Unless is a very well payed Job.
I came across with a good video, have a glance. There’s lot’s of stuff out there, you just have to research.
Be attentive for next posts related to finances and Success.

The 2nd key point for prosperity.

  •  Dare to succeed.

Successful people dare to succeed! It is very common to be afraid of failure at the same time as many people are actually afraid of success.  If we want to advance in our careers we have to dare – taking risks, chances, new challenges and the next steps in the career ladder.

Learning to take initiatives and challenges and to do self-marketing doesn’t come naturally to many people. This is a process that should start with small steps where each outcome would make you stronger and encourage you to take further steps and to dare more. It takes a lot of energy and many “deep breaths” to start with but in time you will get more self-esteem and the process becomes a lot easier.

One must go for  challenge, otherwise will will be stuck in life!…Push your limits, be bold and courageous.

I was thinking about SAS. Who are they?

Special Air Service or SAS is a corps of the British Army constituted on 31 May 1950.They are part of the United Kingdom Special Forces and have served as a model for the special forces of many other countries all over the world.

Do you know their Motto? WHO DARES WINS.

Ask- What is the worst that could happen – would you get NO for an answer? So? You have more chances to get what you want if you ask than if you don’t dare at all.

Change- If you are not happy with the current situation dare to take actions and make a change.

What made David to be what he was? The answer is Goliath!…David was the only on that dared and  challenged the giant.

What happened?

I samuel 17:25

“(…)and it shall be that the man who kills him the king will enrich with great riches, will give him his daughter, and give his father’s house exemption from taxes in Israel.”

Goliath changed David’s life..From a simple shepherd to become part of the royal family and full of riches.

Are you facing your Giant?

I will share with you some key points that are very important to be successful!…I will speak about the mindset of prosperity. I will helped you to transform a poverty consciousness to one of abundance and wealth. You will learn trough a series of posts to gain confidence and courage to step outside your comfort zone. Today will be the first part.

  1.  Vision
  • Vision is a picture or idea you have in your mind of yourself, your business, or anything this is going to happen. A clear vision helps you pursue dreams and achieve goals; an idea of the future, a strong wish. A vision that is clear will open your mind to the endless possibilities of the future.

A vision will help you to overcome obstacles in the way and helps you hold on when times are tough. A vision that is well defined helps you to focus and create a purpose that becomes your measurement for your success. If you do not have a vision of who you want to be, how you want to succeed or what you want out of life, you begin to lack drive and your life becomes just an order of events.

Ask yourself a question..

Where I’m I going to be in 1 year’s time?

What am I going to achieve in 5 years time?

Doing what I am doing now, what will be my expectations?

One has to “Aim high” or “Raise the Bar”. You gotta thing BIG!…

Many are living here in UK in benefits, average 9 to 5 job, working to pay bills, just to make “Ends meet”. The first step is to let go of that narrow vision and short-sighted way of thinking!..

I will post the next points over the next days!…
