Fish on Ice

Once the fish is caught, the very next strep is to keep it fresh. It may take a couple of days until it is sold. Everybody knows that in order to preserve the fish, Ice is needed!…Otherwise the fish will defile and can caught bacteria and not be ready for consumption.

Now, the Lord Jesus, spoke about the Parable of the Dragnet.

Matthew 13:47-40

The Parable of the Dragnet

47 “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a dragnet that was cast into the sea and gathered some of every kind,48 which, when it was full, they drew to shore; and they sat down and gathered the good into vessels, but threw the bad away. 49 So it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come forth, separate the wicked from among the just, 50 and cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.”

Those that were caught by God’s net, converted from their wicked ways, sacrificed their desires, cravings and surrendered all their lives to God in obedience and faithfulness are separated to God’s Kingdom. The problem is that many become defiled with time!…

Why? Because they lack God’s “Ice”- Yes, that’s right!..It’s the Holy Spirit.

Without the Holy Spirit one cannot preserve this great treasure, our salvation!…

What’s the role of the Holy Spirit in our Salvation and spiritual life? In what ways He maintains our spiritual life healthy?

  • He is the Helper
  • Strengthens
  • Guides
  • Inspires
  • Spiritual awareness
  • Good eyes
  • Humbleness
  • Instills God’s thoughts
  • Enables us to resist tempations
  • Subdues the flesh to the Spirit
  • Enable us to forgive

I’m sure the list can go on an on!..

Now, either you are a good fish, or a bad fish!.. and there’s only two options available!…

  1. Be transformed from bad to good fish
  2. MUST HAVE  God’s “Ice(Holy Spirit) in order to keep being a good fish.

We can see trough the video that the Lion was defeated by the Zebra kick!…Nowadays it’s not different!…The “Lion” it’s there hunting, to devour, kill, steal and destroy!…

We only have one option!… “Kick” otherwise we will be devoured by them.

Now, only those who have the Holy Spirit are able to “kick”- the doubts, fears, insecurity, complexes, negativity, past traumas, anxiety, lust, sexual immorality, lies, gossip, hatred, grudges, etc…

I can Call it  “God’s Kick”- Without the Holy Spirit we are week and unable to “Kick”.

There is a fierce battle between our desires and God’s desire. Our flesh, cravings, lusts and the will of God. In us,there is the will to do what is right and just however we face that battle within us and sometimes we fulfill our desires, falling in to sin.

The power of sin works within and tirelessly to sabotage our intentions, and divert us from the purity, sincerity, faithfulness and obedience to God. Sin works to lure, subvert, currupt, ambush and entice us with the things of this world.

Sin is the greateast sabotager of all times. Sin works to sabotage relationships trough unfaithfulness, deceit, adultery, fornication,etc…Sin works to sabotage all the areas of our lives, specially our soul!…Sin wants our soul, he wants us to live in disobedience to God, so that our lives can be wrecked by him.

Hence the following:

Romans 7:17-24

( The Message)

“But I need something more! For if I know the law but still can’t keep it, and if the power of sin within me keeps sabotaging my best intentions, I obviously need help! I realize that I don’t have what it takes. I can will it, but I can’t do it. I decide to do good, but I don’t really do it; I decide not to do bad, but then I do it anyway. My decisions, such as they are, don’t result in actions. Something has gone wrong deep within me and gets the better of me every time.

It happens so regularly that it’s predictable. The moment I decide to do good, sin is there to trip me up. I truly delight in God’s commands, but it’s pretty obvious that not all of me joins in that delight. Parts of me covertly rebel, and just when I least expect it, they take charge.

I’ve tried everything and nothing helps. I’m at the end of my rope. Is there no one who can do anything for me? Isn’t that the real question?

Well in fact there is help!.. Its’s the Holy Spirit…

Only trough the Holy Spirit we are able to overcome our flesh. The Helper will strenghen, guide and empower us to overcome our flesh.

Without the Holy Spirit you are being sabotaged every single day!..

One of the most beautiful histories in the Holy Scriptures is the one that speaks about Martha and Mary. I would like to share my meditation with you. Let’s learn with them.

Luke 10 ( The Message)

Mary and Martha

38-40 As they continued their travel, Jesus entered a village. A woman by the name of Martha welcomed him and made him feel quite at home. She had a sister, Mary, who sat before the Master, hanging on every word he said. But Martha was pulled away by all she had to do in the kitchen. Later, she stepped in, interrupting them. “Master, don’t you care that my sister has abandoned the kitchen to me? Tell her to lend me a hand.”

41-42 The Master said, “Martha, dear Martha, you’re fussing far too much and getting yourself worked up over nothing. One thing only is essential, and Mary has chosen it—it’s the main course, and won’t be taken from her.”

The Lord Jesus rebuked Martha because she was way to busy to listen Jesus words. Isn’t the way that we do it sometimes? We allow distractions, commitments to divert us from what is really important: Our communion with God.

Martha

 -  Hospitable

-  Organised

-  Perfectionist

-  Responsible

-  Hard worker

-  Wasn’t lazy

-  Knew the physical priorities

-  Lack education

-  Missed opportunity

-  Focus in the wrong

-  She served

  Mary

-  Thirsty of God’s Word

-  Spent time to ear God’s voice

-  Left the physical needs behind

-  Knew the importance of stopping everything and have her moments with God

-  She gave her best offering

-  Didn’t care what people would say about her

-  She was the offering

With whom you identify yourself? Martha or Mary?

Let’s first understand the process of leavening.

Leavening with yeast is a process based on fermentation. Microorganisms release carbon dioxide, changing the chemistry of the dough.It causes the dough to expand or rise as gas forms pockets or bubbles. When the dough is baked, the yeast dies and the air pockets “set”, giving the baked product a soft and spongy texture.

When we  see a “Puffed” and crunchy bread, we’re being deceived by this small “microorganisms”. What we see is not what is there!…Now, as the yeast changes the aspect and the chemistry of the dough, the same process happens with human beings on a spiritual level.

Evil trows his “yeast” on us to corrupt our relationship with God, our purity and  sanctity. The devil’s yeast wants to change and contaminate our way of thinking, our eyes, our conduct.

  • A grudge
  • Judgmental /  evil eyes
  • Doubts
  • Fear
  • Pride
  • Bad thoughts
  • Negativity
  • Word of discouragment
  • Laziness or complacency
  • Bad friendship
  • Wrong conversations

Sometimes, something that before used to be holy, untouchable, unspeakable, with time  and bad experiences became unholy, common and desecrated.  Evil spirits wait patiently for the day that this “Spiritual fermentation” can happen in our spiritual life.

Beware of the spiritual leaven!…

I corinthians 5:6-8

(The Message)

6-8 Your flip and callous arrogance in these things bothers me. You pass it off as a small thing, but it’s anything but that. Yeast, too, is a “small thing,” but it works its way through a whole batch of bread dough pretty fast. So get rid of this “yeast.” Our true identity is flat and plain, not puffed up with the wrong kind of ingredient. The Messiah, our Passover Lamb, has already been sacrificed for the Passover meal, and we are the Unraised Bread part of the Feast. So let’s live out our part in the Feast, not as raised bread swollen with the yeast of evil, but as flat bread—simple, genuine, unpretentious.”

Who hasn’t heard in the train and tube stations?-MIND THE GAP!..

Well, we have to mind the gaps that can jeopardise our relationship with God and will serve as an entrance door for evil to come in our lives.

We have to close the gaps by our obedience to God’s word.

Here are some “Gaps”:

  • Doubts
  • Fear
  • Wrong Relationship or Friendship
  • Malice
  • Lust or Sexual desires
  • Lies
The list is really endless, overall we can say everything that displeases God, a life without boundaries, sin and unfaithfulness towards God’s word.  If we loved the wrong things it will recoil on us, and the other way around as well.

Psalm 109:17

17 As he loved cursing, so let it come to him;
As he did not delight in blessing, so let it be far from him.

Everything in life has a source of energy or life. When you neutralize that source you drain the strength or energy of that something.

Let me give some examples:

The mobile needs a battery, the tree needs water and light, we humans need food and water. When this things are absent there is no life!..

As per my last post Feeding the devil, if we keep on nourishing evil by doing what is wrong he will always be in control.

Let me give you some tips on how to “Starve the devil”.

  • Get rid of people who are negative and a bad influence to you.
  • Get rid of doubts, for they neutralize action.
  • Let go of your past or traumas.
  • Decide to forgive, forget and move on.
  • Cut off all the links with lust.
  • Start to take the goodness of everyone around you, not the other way around.
  • Let your words be of encouragement and edification, not to gossip or badmouth.
  • Entertain your thoughts with the word of God and remember the old saying ” Idle mind, office of the devil.”
  • Speak the truth.
  • Pray and Fast.

Ephesians 4:27

“(…) nor give place to the devil.”

In the media the word “hacker” is often used, for what I would call a “cracker”, someone that breaks into systems to damage it, or for the purpose of getting illegitimate access to resources.
 There are also people who (like the average users) learn some tricks and use this tricks to create virusses, break into system and such. I would call these people crackers, because they do not seek knowledge for the knowledge itself, but to show off that they can break into a certain system or create a nasty virus.

Now, if this is true in terms of the computer world, systems and security, we can apply the same principle in the spiritual life.

Let me present you the “Spiritual Hacker”.

The “Modus Operandi” is the same, the same tactics, but in a spiritual content.

  • Wants to corrupt our “system”, with sin!…
  • Wants to break our communion with God.
  • Get’s access by the emotions and feelings.
  • Steal our faith.
  • Instill “Spiritual Viruses”, such as doubt and fear.

I’m speaking about the devil.

Now as people get protection with  routers, firewalls, anti-virus software, the same we have to do concerning our Spiritual life. If you want to know how, go to a post named “Faith-ty Breach”.

We all know that things of value are meant to be kept in a safe place.We just don’t place things of value anywhere to be lost and found isn’t? Let it be an important document, money, jewelry or even information held on a computer. Burglars, hackers, etc…are looking for a safety breach, so that they can take possession of important assets and values.

You have heard about safety breach in several houses, events or public institutions.

Now,let me present the “Faith-ty Breach“.

The spiritual life, is in my opinion, what defines our outwardly  life. How you are able to use your faith, to connect with God, to be spiritual aware of the traps of the devil. Evil Spirits they know once your faith is Stollen, that’s it!…They will gain access and rob the most important asset one has-Our Salvation.

Faith is the bridge that connect us to God. Obviously that all hell works to “Bombard” this bridge, to “Rob” your faith, so that one, discredits God and stops living by faith.

Let’s see the “Bombs” used by the devil to destroy our faith:

  • Doubts
  • Fear
  • Emotions
  • Anxiety
  • Worries
  • Distractions
  • Delays
  • Negativity
  • Tragic Events
  • Loss of family members
  • Bad testimonies

I’m sure the list goes on.

In a nutshell:

WE HAVE TO SAFEGUARD OUR FAITH!…Protect it all all cost, because our life and our salvation depends on it.

tranquilliser gun  is a non-lethal gun used for capture via a special chemical.Tranquilliser guns shoot darts filled with tranquilizer that, when injected, temporarily sedate an animal or human, so that it may be handled (or captured) safely. The tranquilliser can be a sedative, anesthetic or paralytic agent.

The tranquilizer takes a bit of a time to make effect, the person or animal starts to become dizzy and sleepy, until is out of action and naturally losing all the strength and reaction.

Now, that’s exactly what the devil is doing in order to neutralize the revolt and the action of faith, against all the injustice that we face, specially for those who are children of God!..

People are in a comfort zone, passive, inert and hoping for the best!.. The devil has manage to fire  tranquilizer darts to make people accepting the circumstances. Many are those who are just living day by day, quieted by the problems, setbacks and barriers. It’s like seeing a dog biting your leg and don’t feel any pain whatsoever having no reaction towards it.

Here are the name of those “Tranquilizer” darts:

  • Doubts
  • Fear
  • Complacency
  • Procrastination
  • Narrow vision
  • Acceptance of : “That’s Life!…!,
  • It’s to hard
  • You’ve got enough
  • That’s to much trouble
  • I’m to old for this
  • Life is not so bad
  • It’s impossible
  • Low self-esteem
  • Establishing a parallel with those who are worst.

Those who are of God, are naturally REVOLTED by believing in a God so great and live without the fulness of life that God promised.
