Going Where? Doing What?

Some people ask what it is that steers a ship. Automobiles have a steering wheel connected to the two front wheels: ships have a slightly different system. Instead of wheels to turn, there is a rudder. The rudder directs water in a different direction as it passes over the surface. The ship  can move the rudder left and right depending on the direction that is need. Without a rudder the ship will be adrift.

The proportion in terms of size is very small, compared with the size of the boat, however plays a capital importance in a boat.

In life,we need something to guide our lives, to steer us in the good direction, to avoid the “Icebergs” and to be lost in the sea. Many are those who have a “nice boat”, with a good propeller, and engine, meaning good skills, education, stablished marriage, nice job, etc..however they lack the guidance that will lead this boat to the good port.

Let me present you the “Spiritual rudder”- The Holy Spirit!..

It makes the following tasks:

  • Gives guidance in where to go
  • Enable us to take decisions with our mind, not emotions
  • Warn us from potential dangerous, like a yellow traffic light
  • It show us what not to do
  • Strengths and boosts
  • Makes one to overcome doubt and fear, gives assurance

It helps to sort out daily task and issues in life.

Is this the right person to be with? Is this the right career for me? How am I going to sort this out?

The question is:

John 16:13

“However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.”
