What’s Your Summit?

What have you been fighting for? What’s your main aim in life? Some think that they have conquered their objectives and goals, however there’s a “Summit” that needs to be conquered!…It’s eternity!…

The Lord Jesus said for us not to focus on the things that perish rather for the things that everlast.

Luke 12:16.21

The Parable of the Rich Fool

16 Then He spoke a parable to them, saying: “The ground of a certain rich man yielded plentifully. 17 And he thought within himself, saying, ‘What shall I do, since I have no room to store my crops?’ 18 So he said, ‘I will do this: I will pull down my barns and build greater, and there I will store all my crops and my goods. 19 And I will say to my soul, “Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years; take your ease; eat, drink, and be merry.”’20 But God said to him, ‘Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided?’

21 “So is he who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.”

Have you conquered that “Summit”?

In life, if we do not watch, we can become so focused on ourselves and conquering material things that we can loose sight of what is the most important – salvation.

God is using this example and giving us the opportunity to think, examine ourselves and not to follow the same path as the rich fool. I am making my decision to learn form his mistake.

God bless you and all those who read and apply this message.

    Hello Pastor,
This message truly makes an individual to reflect on their walk with God! Taking a step back and allowing one’s true self actualisation to reflect on a personal level and identify what are their own goals in the hierachy of life. The parable of the rich fool is a true example of most individuals as people tend to focus on the physical as opposed to the spiritual! This is reflected on the mountain summit example you have provided above.
Thanks for sharing, this message! Very good example to meditate on!
    God bless you

By conquering material things its a matter of time one day all these things will come to pass. The truth is we wish to live apart from god during our time on earth he will grant us our wish for eternity as well. When death comes knocking at the door there is one thing matters our relationship with jesus christ. All material things you have been fighting for they will be left behind. There is no greater day when the lord will call your name and say WISE Hellena not fool Hellena and what a day if your life was more focused on spiritual than physical.
