Spiritual Island

Revelation 1:9-10

I, John, both brother and companion in the tribulation and kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was on the island that is called Patmos for the word of God and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. 10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s Day (…) “

Every single day we need to go to a “Spiritual Island” to set ourselves apart from everything and everyone!… We need to stay away from what makes us busy and brings distractions, so that we can be in Spirit and obviously listen what God has to say to us.

If that doesn’t happen by our own initiative God can allow a problem or situation, a loss, a humiliation, a rebuke so that I can understand that I have to go back to that “Spiritual Island”...AWAY FROM EVERYTHING THAT MAKES ME AWAY FROM GOD!...Far from my flesh, desires and cravings, however closer to God and His will.

Definition: land surrounded by body of water

That’s how our life has to be, surrounded by the Holy Spirit.

As for me, I decided to be on the “Spiritual Island” by my own initiative, what about you?

I second you on that sometimes God can allowa situation, humiliation etc to happen in order for one to go back to the spiritual Island to have communion with God! I was someone who had a lot of pride although I knew that I needed to change I only did it in my terms! Then a situation happened that I was so humiliated at the point I had to turn away from everything that pleased me and seek God! Till this day I never regret as the experience has been life transformation. Thank you for sharing as I need to always detox my inner being and letting God take control! It is very important to go to the spiritual island as it makes you reflect, meditate, be rebuked and guided by the Holy Spirit. Have a blessed after.

    Dear Mrs Ana!!!
Thank you for sharing this post with us. God allows situations and humiliation to happen in order for us to go back to the spiritual Island, a True worshiper is over whelmed with God. And are committed to God, also hold nothing back, the True children of God are always over whelmed with God and seek God!

  5. I really like the sound of Spiritual Island. To just get away from everyone and everything and just be with God alone. Your own time!

  6. Karema Henderson says:

Thank you Mrs Ana, we need to have our daily time with God so we can build our relationship with Him, many time we get so busy and forget about our time with God and that’s why God have to send the problem to put us back on track. This is the most important thing so I will invest more in Him and go to the Spiritual Island.
