Today I was praying and asking God to give me His living water, in order to quench my spiritual thirst. I also asked God to make me a fountain so that I can give that water to others. The word was “Fountain”. I then start to meditate on that…what’s a fountain and so on.
I went to make a bit of research and that’s what I found on how offsprings of water come up.
With the pouring of rain, water infiltrates the soil and accumulates-forming groundwater, these water deposits are on the rise and the water pressure turns out to be relieved in a place of least resistance to the ground, then end up generating the fountains .
In order for the offspring of water to exist, everything starts in the rain..and who gives the rain? Where it comes from?It comes from God
“Then I will give you rain in its season, (…)”
If I want to have the living water and become a fountain, I need to seek those waters from above, trough my seeking of the Holy Spirit, trough my surrender, my sincerity and daily sacrifice in order to obey God’s word. The living water will accumulate in us, forming our character and shaping us in to God’s children, until the moment that God’s presence also overflows and we become a fountain. We will have for us and to give others.
Food for thought: John 7:37
The Promise of the Holy Spirit
37 On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”
