The Other Side Of The Coin

Edited Coin

The Lord Jesus wanted the disciples to see the other side of the coin!…Yes, they were going to feel His physical loss, however something far greater was ahead of them!..

The same must happen to those who wholeheartedly want to follow God. One has to loose, in order to win. That’s the law of God!…There’s no getting around it!...

That’s were many loose themselves and abandon their faith!… When they FEEL…something contrary of what they want or expect. Their feelings and emotions, take over, and one sinks in to discouragement, inertia and life becomes sluggish and fruitless.

There’s the other side of the coin!..The joy of faithfulness, obedience and sacrifice…A new life will be born. The new birth.

John 16:20-22

(The Message)

“You’ll be sad,  very sad, but your sadness will develop into gladness.

“When a woman gives birth, she has a hard time, there’s no getting around it. But when the baby is born, there is joy in the birth. This new life in the world wipes out memory of the pain. The sadness you have right now is similar to that pain, but the coming joy is also similar. When I see you again, you’ll be full of joy, and it will be a joy no one can rob from you.”

If you are being saddened, or going trough hardship, don’t worry!..God wants to show you something, to add something, to teach you something.

There’s another side of the Coin!..

    Thank you Pastor

It is so true that when we are going through hard moments, it is so easy to keep looking at the hardness… instead of the other side of the coin.

It is through those hard moments that we actually grow and Mature with God… Well at least that is my experience..

  2. Catherine Dean says:

Yes Pastor you are right sometimes we forget that coin has another side as well. When we face troubles then immediately we forget God’s promises. That eyes are more on circumstances than goals.

As disciples, one has to face temporary prosecutions but the joy is eternal. To receive His spirit you have to be Obedient to God and it demands sacrifice of your flash which is hard but it’s a law no pain no gain.

    God bless you.

    Thanks Pr for Sahring,

To serve God you need to lose to gain.

This is how the disciples were able to walk with God because they had to lose everything to follow Jesus.

There is no short cuts to serving God you are either in or out.

    Look straight ahead
feelings and emotions only take your focus off what you are focusing on.

God sees everything and puts everyone through a test to see which side of the coin they will settle for only those who are determined, strong and willing to learn through the trials will see the other side of the coin.

    Hi Pastor

your example of the a woman being pregnant , gving brith and having her child at the end of the pain, is a really good example it has made it easier for me understand in more detail that there is no getting away from scarifice it’s a natural thing, in oder to gain/grow in life we have to scarifice. The sad thing is that people give up on the faith because they try to run away from this but this is foolish, as one way or another they will sacrifice to the world and there be no gain/growth but instead will lose.

Scarifice is a law of the universe.

    Thanks pr
When we decided to follow God we knew that its not going to be easy we will face difficult moment, but we can’t follow our emotion or feelings.
In that moment of hardship we have to focus on God promise for our live and know that after every storm there is a calm.

  6. Dian Hardley says:

This is so true Pr. there’s never one side to a coin but this s how the devil wants us to see things…especially when we go through tough and difficulty moments in life, which are the times which test our faith and trust in God. This is where the other side of the coin is because that’s when we glorify God with the great results that comes…keep steadfast and eyes on the prize!

    Thank you Pr;

Meditating on this has made me realise that yes one will far difficulties and hard moments in life, but it’s not that one should focus on the hard times but they should see the picture in the end(the other side of the coin) and keep fighting.
For example when it’s comes to following God, that is a time where you might lose a lot but we shouldn’t see its as a loss cause with God that doesn’t exist, With Him it’s a gain not a loss. And sometimes we seem to lose focus on the other side of the coin and tend to look at the here and now which is something we shouldn’t be doing. But for us to see the other side of the coin we have lose what we have I order to gain what God has for us.
