Walk With God

Walk with God

If you were meant to walk with a VIP (Very Important Person) by your side, everywhere you’d go, how would be your attitudes, words or behaviour?

I’m absolutely sure you would be really careful to choose the right words, to dress properly, to do everything in your power to please the so called VIP. You would watch every step of the way and be attentive to everything regarding your character.

Now, if that it’s true, bear in mind that we should “walk with God”  every step of the way. Be aware of His presence, and live in a Godly fear, meaning, respectful to his presence. If I’m aware that I’m walking in God, I will be all means please Him in every aspect of our lives.

By doing that we will be blameless before God!..

Have you been walking in His presence?

Genesis 17:1

When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless.

Inner Mirror

Inner Mirror

One thing that woman like the most is a mirror! They like to check their look isn’t it? As we need a mirror to see how we look in the outside, we need a mirror as well to see how it looks our inside. The problem is that many times it’s hard to find this “inner mirror”.

So how can we look inside?

Our relationship and total dependence on God is what makes us to see whom we are  from inside. I remembered for how long I couldn’t see who was I inside.I was so focused in the outside and looking well in everything I do, that I left behind my relationship with God and that’s why I couldn’t achieve new standards inside of me, I couldn’t deal with myself and overcome the bad things inside of me.
Let’s remember this: If we want to be admired and respected, let’s invest more in our inside.

The “Inner Mirror” will show us everything we need to change. In the same way I can see myself in the mirror and I can change what doesn’t look nice on my appearance, I can check myself in the inside when I have a close relationship with God without waiting for others to tell me what I need to change.

Godly Check Up

Godly Check up

In the course of life we should make at least once or twice a total health check up. With age advancing one gets more confident to know about your health condition. Actually that’s something that everybody should do now and again. It helps to prevent some kind of illness and works out your risk of developing some of the most disabling – but preventable – illnesses.

Now, if its advisable that we should make a health check up what about a “Godly Check up”? It may access a problem in your spiritual life, which potentially can lead you to a spiritual disability.

  • Mind

How have been our thoughts? How’s your conscience before God?

  • Eyes

What do you look to others? Are you judgmental? Are your eyes evil towards people? What about towards yourself?

  • Mouth

Which kind of words comes out of your mouth? Words of life or death? Encouragement or failure? Is your mouth holy or desecrated? Do you swear?

  • Heart

Are you following the greatest deceiver ? Are you controlled by your emotions and cravings? Have you got hatred? Are you grudgeful?

  • Hands

Are you touching what belongs to God, the tithe and offerings? Are you touching what belongs to others?  Are your hands being used for promiscuity and immorality?

  • Feet

Are your feet going around to help those who are lost? Are your feet going trough the paths of iniquity? Are you among the scornful?

Please take a bit of time to think about this and make this “Godly Check Up”.  Meditate and see if God sees you fit inside and out.

Psalm 26:2

“Examine me, God, from head to foot,
order your battery of tests.
Make sure I’m fit
inside and out”

All Pieces

Missing Puzzle

Psalm 18:20-24

(The Message)

God made my life complete

when I placed all the pieces before him.

Our life, my life, cannot be complete whilst I don’t give God ALL “Pieces”!…It’s like a puzzle!..God want’s our life to be complete in every shape or form, however he needs all the pieces together!…The question is which piece or pieces are lacking?

Humbleness? Forgiveness? Sincerity? Faithfulness? Unselfishness? Holiness? Purity? Communion? Obedience? Repentance? Total surrender?

When I got my act together,

he gave me a fresh start.

We will only have a fresh start when the puzzle is complete!..

 Now I’m alert to God’s ways;

I don’t take God for granted.

Many times we take God for granted!..One enters in a routine, in automatic pilot. We must be alert to God’s ways!…In what way he wants to speak with us, to mold us, etc…?

Every day I review the ways he works;

I try not to miss a trick.

It’s like watching a magician performing a trick!…One is attentive to the details, to see how things will work out.

Everyday one must make a reflection on how God worked!…Things that happened around, thoughts, temptations, reactions towards problems and things alike.

What is God trying to show you today? Sometimes He speaks so subtle, that if one isn’t attentive, that voice will vanish away.

 I feel put back together,

 and I’m watching my step.

We need to watch every step we take, walking in God’s fear, in holiness and sanctity.

God rewrote the text of my life

when I opened the book of my heart to his eyes.

This text of my life is in a new book- The BOOK OF LIFE.

This book can only be open, if you open yours!…Your heart!. Pour it out before God, even because His eyes already know it.

Ticket To Hell

Ticket to Hell

There’s one ticket that has to be cancelled in our life!..The Ticket to Hell!.. Whether you may like it or not there’s a ticket with one’s name to be admitted there!..

Due to our sins and transgressions we lacked God’s grace. Therefore the Lord Jesus came to redeem us and cancel that “Ticket to Hell”.

Colossians 2:13-14

“13 And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, 14 having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.”

Now who has had that “Ticket” cancelled? Have you got yours cancelled?

If you are doubtful about it or you just don’t know, then you have got the greatest of unsolved problems in your life!…The last ticket it’s still on….

What must I do to have it cancelled you may ask?

Well here it goes some steps:

  1. Make a prayer right now by repenting from your sins, your past and totally surrender your life to the Lord Jesus by making Him, your master, your owner, your conductor, your driver…
  2. Get baptised in the waters by immersion, so that you can live in newness of life
  3. Seek to get to know more about God and His will, by meditating daily in His word.
  4. Do not be oblivious of church. Come and engage in to fellowship and learn how to exercise your faith so that you can maintain your salvation. Join one of the UCKG HelpCentres scattered all over the word.
  5. Learn about the Holy Spirit and fight to have it. He is the guarantee of your salvation.

As for me I will say what king David wrote:

Psalm 16:9-10

(The Message)

You canceled my ticket to hell—
    that’s not my destination!

If you love your loved ones, please forward them this message, post in your facebook, email them, etc..

Straight In The Eye

Eyes

“God’s business is putting things right;
he loves getting the lines straight,
Setting us straight. Once we’re standing tall,
we can look him straight in the eye.”

Psalm 11:7

We need to be able to look in to God’s eyes, not being ashamed of anything. We need to have a clear conscience before God.

How can we do that? When we recognise our wrong and amend our ways, things are put straight. God is always showing us what needs to change in our attitudes, behaviour, thoughts, intentions, manners, etc…One just need to be attentive on how God works.

Can you look straight in God’s Eyes?

Run Away

Run Away

Every time we allow our emotions to prevail,we run away from the genuine and pure faith. True faith is emotionless!..The true problem is that every time we become emotional about something, one ends up suffering and getting far from God.

When one follows the path of emotions, feelings and their own cravings one becomes doubtful, fearful, discouraged, guilty, confused, traumatised, complexed, angry, moody, inpatient, frustrated, etc…Those kinds of feelings end up hurting the person even more.

So what to do in order to remain in the faith? What to do, to get rid of those things?

Be attentive to everything that can make you emotional about it and run away from it!…At the same time use your faith to rebuke those emotions or feelings immediately. One cannot impede those feelings to come, however they can be severed without causing any bad roots.

Are you hurting yourself?

Straw Faith

Straw

The straw is consumed really quick by the fire, due the lack of consistency. If catches fire  is quickly consumed and the fire extinguishes. Now the same happens with many christians. They are the “Straw Christians”!…

So who are the “Straw Christians”?

Well, in the same way the straw is quickly consumed by the fire, those who are lead by their emotions, feelings or cravings, their “Fire” or faith also quickly vanishes!..

When before the problems, hardship or setbacks one’s excitement is gone and ends up giving up or losing their focus on their goals. These are those that Jesus called born of the flesh.

So what can one do in order to be strong and remain in the faith, regardless of the circumstances?

One needs to be Born of God!… Those who have the new birth they have a different nature!…They are consistent because their faith comes from God, therefore the fire doesn’t extinguishes and hardly will!.. Those who have the new birth have a different nature. They are bold, courageous and obviously have God’s vision within their minds. They are secure of themselves.

The “Straw Christians” are doubtful, week and always depend on other people’s opinion, always led by their emotions.

Let’s evaluate who we are?

Front Carriage

Train

The most important part of the train, is the front carriage!…That’s what pulls all other parts of the train!..Concerning our life has to be the same. The front carriage has to be our communion with God!..

If we put God first in our life, meaning allow Him to guide us, to lead the way and above all give Him the priority in everything , then all our “Carriages” will be also going well; Finances, Love life, Health, Family, etc…

The “Front Carriage” has to be our communion with God!.. To be in Spirit, to speak with God, to seek His presence, to be involved with everything that is Godly and always seek to please Him in any way possible.

God’s Amo!..

This movie was very, very good, which I took some lessons. It’s about a war tank fighting against the Nazis and all of a sudden they got out of Ammunition. They were protected by the tank, against the bullets. They had a cannon, machine guns inside and a very good amount of ammo. Things started to go wrong when they run out of shells and bullets.

Lesson number 1: The Tank is the Protection where the weapons are.

The church is that “Tank” where you receive the right tools to overcome your enemy.

Lesson number 2: The ammunition is what will keep you alive and kicking.

The Holy Spirit is “God’s Amo” with which one will withstand against the desires of the flesh, temptations, traps of the devil, bad thoughts, malice, promiscuity and the lust and pride of the world.

In a nutshell: Do not leave the Tank (Church) and make sure you are fully loaded!…

Let them come!…

Revolving Sword

Sword of fire

Everything that has value and is precious, needs to be kept safe, to prevent loss, theft or any damage.

If one places their money in the bank, jewellery in a safe, an important object of value in a special place, what should we do with our Spiritual life, our Salvation?

We also must protect and safeguard it, don’t you think so? Look to the following Bible Scripture.

Genesis 3:24

“()and a revolving sword of fire east of it, guarding the path to the Tree-of-Life.”

God himself placed a  revolving sword of fire, to keep safe the Tree-of-Life.  Let me breakdown what that means in our spiritual life!..

  • The Sword of Fire symbolises our faith. It’s by holding on to a faith intelligent and obedient to God’s word, that we will be able to keep our Salvation. The sword is to cut everything that comes against our spiritual life, so we can maintain our sanctity and holiness and obedience before God.
  • Revolving because we cannot stop using it. Our faith needs to be constantly in movement, so that we can close all the gaps, for evil not to enter in our lives e.g. Cut bad thoughts, malice in the eyes, grudges, hatred, pride, materialism, greediness, gossip, lies, etc..
  • Guarding the path to the Tree-of-Life. This path is very straight and narrow. We must strive to get there and be aware that this path is constantly under assault and  threat. Therefore we need to be vigilant and sober in order no to be taken by surprise.

Twin Brothers

twins

Do you know that Faith has a twin brother? They walk together, they are inseparable, they depend on one another!…

What’s the name of the twin brother of Faith? It’s Obedience!..That’s the name!..

If you say you have faith, but there’s no obedience to God’s word, what’s faith good for?  Without faith there’s no Obedience, and without Obedience there’s no Faith!..

Give a glance to below.

James 2:14-17

(The Message)

Faith in Action
14-17 Dear friends, do you think you’ll get anywhere in this if you learn all the right words but never do anything? Does merely talking about faith indicate that a person really has it? For instance, you come upon an old friend dressed in rags and half-starved and say, “Good morning, friend! Be clothed in Christ! Be filled with the Holy Spirit!” and walk off without providing so much as a coat or a cup of soup—where does that get you? Isn’t it obvious that God-talk without God-acts is outrageous nonsense?

18 I can already hear one of you agreeing by saying, “Sounds good. You take care of the faith department, I’ll handle the works department.”

Not so fast. You can no more show me your works apart from your faith than I can show you my faith apart from my works. Faith and works, works and faith, fit together hand in glove.

19-20 Do I hear you professing to believe in the one and only God, but then observe you complacently sitting back as if you had done something wonderful? That’s just great. Demons do that, but what good does it do them? Use your heads! Do you suppose for a minute that you can cut faith and works in two and not end up with a corpse on your hands?

Who Is She?

Who Is She?

Can you guess who is She?

She’s worth far more than money in the bank;
her friendship is better than a big salary.
Her value exceeds all the trappings of wealth;
nothing you could wish for holds a candle to her.
With one hand she gives long life,
with the other she confers recognition.
Her manner is beautiful,
her life wonderfully complete.
She’s the very Tree of Life to those who embrace her.
Hold her tight—and be blessed!

I present you Lady Wisdom!..

Complaining or Claiming?

C

We often see people that complain about different matters of their lives. They murmur, get angry at themselves or someone else, or even try to find an escape goat in order to justify their failures.

When one complains usually looses the focus on how to really sort out the problems or difficulties ahead of them. They loose their temper, lash out their anger, get moody, discouraged, loose their faith and belief that things can change and many times even trow the towel on the floor!..They give up on fighting.

Let me present the C that makes a difference!..

Claiming!..

But who can Claim? Well only those who have the right to do so!..Isn’t that the reason why people go to the courts? To claim justice? They have the law that backs them up, so they stand for their rights.

Let us bring the same concept for our Spiritual life. Didn’t the Lord Jesus say: “I came to give you life more abundant?” So why is that many “Christians” aren’t seeing and taking possession of that abundant life promised by God?

Its simple, from the two options one goes:

  1. They haven’t got the right to claim, due their disobedience to God’s word, or…..
  2. They are complaint about, but not Claiming their Rights!…

Judges 2:6

The Message (MSG)

6-9 After Joshua had dismissed them, the People of Israel went off to claim their allotted territories and take possession of the land.

Walk in righteousness, be bold, courageous and stop complaining!…Claim your rights!…After all you have God’s law to back you up, and who can go against that?

God’s Corner

corner-boxing

Boxing is supervised by a referee over a series of one- to three-minute intervals called rounds. The result is decided when an opponent is deemed incapable to continue by a referee, is disqualified for breaking a rule, resigns by throwing in a towel, or is pronounced the winner or loser based on the judges’ scorecards at the end of the contest.

After each round each fighter goes to the corner  and sits downs to rest, and receives instructions from his trainer on how to perform better in the fight, to strenghten his weak points and take advantage of the adversary. If he is hurt or bleeding, the necessary procedures are taken to ensure he keeps on the fight. It’s extremelly important those minutes there at the corner, where he will be ready for one more round.

Now, the same happens in our life!..Life is made of “Rounds”, and we need that time where we go to a corner, to renew our strength, to receive instructions on how to overcome our adversaries, problems,set-backs and receive the water to be refreshed.

The corner is the church, the trainer is the pastor and the water is the Holy Spirit. We need that time to recharge our batteries, to receive God’s instructions trough the message given by the men of God and most certainly the living waters will overflow and empower us, to keep fighting the good fight.

Wednesdays and Sundays at the UCKG HelpCentre are God’s Corner.

See you there!..

Terms and Conditions Apply

Terms and conditions Apply

When someone applies for a job, a visa, citizenship of a country, etc…one needs to meet the requirements. There are terms and conditions that need to be met, so that the person can get what he wants.

In God’s kingdom it’s not different!… For us to be saved and abide with God, we need to live under God’s terms and be defined by His word. Those who are of God and the ones that want to be, need to make up their minds and decide to abandon the words’s ways, in order to lived by the word!…So, the choice is simple:

  1. The world
  2. The word

The L in between those words make the difference, between your Salvation and damnation!…

Have a glance in the sacred Scriptures.

John 17:14-16

(The Message)

I gave them your word;
The godless world hated them because of it,
Because they didn’t join the world’s ways,
Just as I didn’t join the world’s ways.
I’m not asking that you take them out of the world
But that you guard them from the Evil One.
They are no more defined by the world
than I am defined by the world.

What’s The Excuse?

Cut the Connection

We all know that in order to bear fruit, the branch has to be connected to the tree. Without this connection the branch withers and can’t bear fruit. That’s exactly were many people have been neglecting in their spiritual life!… They lack a connection with God.

We know that the devil, wants to take advantage of that!...He works relentlessly to cut off our connection with God, by making people putting up excuses in order not to come to church and use their faith. Our main day of connection with God it’s sunday!…The Lord’s day!…Obviously, that we need to be constantly connected with Him, however the day to day busy life ends up creating that obstacle.

Let’s see some excuses people end up giving to God:

  • I’m to tired
  • It’s the only day I can rest
  • I have things to sort out
  • I need to give attention to my family
  • I’m working
  • I can pray at home
  • It’s to far
  • I don’t feel like it
  • God understands
  • It’s a one off
  • Church it’s not for me
  • I have my own faith
  • It’s boring

Let’s cut off these and other excuses, and make that connection!…You will see how things will start flowing and changing in your life. That connection with God will give you the energy, confidence, motivation, guidance, peace, strength, insight, focus and above all will lead you to bear much fruit.

Let’s cut off what has been cutting us off from God!…

The Doctor, The Prescription and The Pharmacy!…

Prescription:Pharmacy

The title seams to be pretty much explanatory!..Everything is linked and easy to understand. However I would like to establish a parallel between that and how faith needs to be used, so we can see the benefits off it.

Now, when one is sick, obviously goes to the doctor. That’s the first step!..To recognise that needs help, is a step of humbleness.  Shouldn’t we apply the same rule to other matters of life? Seek the “Doctor” of doctors!…God has healing, for what majority of the science, physicians, lawyers, money, hasn’t. Can you go to a doctor and ask for a tablet against past hurts? Abuse? Traumas? Does he has a prescription against hatred, unfaithfulness, bitterness, frustrations?

Obviously not!.. So we all should take that first step!…Going to God, not no religion, but to God, in spirit and in truth.

The doctor will give you a medical prescription, that contains the names of the remedies you will take, to tackle the pathology, sickness, symptoms one is having. That’s the second step!...To do what the doctor told you to do.

Many are those that come to God the “Doctor” in order to sort out their problems, however they don’t want to do whatever it was required by Him. Obedience, faithfulness, sacrifice, commitment, surrender, humbleness, are often what is written in the prescription.

After one decides to do what the doctor told, has to take that prescription, and go to the pharmacy, where he will exchange it by the remedies prescribed. That’s the third step!…What can the doctor do without the tablets or remedies? He’s restrained to your obedience and willingness to take the prescription over the counter, buy it and take it.

Once we came to God (1st Step), and received the prescription (2nd Step), we must go over the “Counter”….(3rd Step). We must apply what we have been told and taught, develop our talents and skills, use our faith so that we can benefit from it. Otherwise steps 1 and 2 are good for nothing!..

In a nutshell:  3 steps that can change your life.
